Finally hit October!

As most of you know, it is October! The countdown has begun for most of you guys as, us as well! I have been counting down since about a week ago. Lily is still looking good and alot of people have said that I have finally dropped. I still feel like I am carrying high but she is starting to cause some toll on my body. Last week I started to get some nasty headaches, nothing causing her or me any harm, but one of my supervisors on Wednesday took one look at me when I walked in and and told me to go home and rest, which was nice. I don't think I have taken a sick day off without a note this whole pregnancy so they were pretty understanding, which was nice. They have been really great to me throughout this whole process. Which has been really helpful.

So this Friday we go in for our 38 week and 6 day(s) appointment. So really my 39 week, lol. She stated that she is going to look and see if I am dilated and strip my membranes, as well as place me on the the induction schedule for my 41 week mark. So hopefully things are starting to move along. I have been doing the herbal remedies that supposedly help with dilation, such as drinking red raspberry leaf tea, (which I really like without any sweeteners etc), and tonight Scott cooked eggplant parm with red sauce from scratch, of course. Both people have told me helps with the process. I have had some contractions from time to time, but nothing consecutive and sometimes I'm not  sure if they are just stomach cramps or real contractions. I have had some that take my breath away, so I know that I've experienced the real deal. Dr. Mcclendon said that I have been her best pregnant patient and she hopes that my labor will be just as easy. She will be on call all this month at the hospital so when ever Lily decides to come she will be the one who does it.

Also when I was at work Thursday, my supervisor told me that they are throwing me a baby shower this Friday at work! Which was unexpected, but nice. People have already started playing the guess the weight and due date game so I thought I would put a twist on it. We are having a silent auction dinner party in December to raise money for our privately funded Adult Cystic Fibrosis foundation and I wanted to help. So I bought a $25 visa gift card for whoever the winner is for guessing the closest to Lily's due date and weight. But if you wanna guess you have to donate $2.00 per guess, and all of that money will go to the foundation! I may not raise a whole lot, but I wanted to be able to help out in some way, since I won't be there prior to the dinner. Even if it is $10 that can buy tissue paper or something to help with the gifts for the silent auction. Any little bit helps.

So here are some pictures of a few things, I will keep everyone posted with baby news as we know!

Lily's highchair that Dad and Lauren got her!

They also got her the pack and play that also will be her bassinet in our room

My two babes relaxing on the couch

I never thought white made me look huge until I took this picture this past Thursday, 9 and 1/2 months!

Scott is so stinking proud of getting his aquarium set up, and his new lighting system!

That hangs from the ceiling...

Lily's crib and part of her curtains in her room

The chair that I need to still cover with extra panels of the matching curtains

Her closet that was organized, that needs to be redone again

And her diaper changing table that needs to be uncluttered as well...
